Original antique ART NOUVEAU pocket watch by ORION, inlayed gold and silver despicting a BEAUTIFUL LADY smiling at a tiny butterfly.
 
DIAL: Original silver tone dial with black color arabig numbers. Dial is signed F. BACHSCHMID ORION at twelve o'clock. Original blue metal hands.
 
CASE: original sterling silver case with hinged back and dust covers. Back cover is masterfully decorated with a beautiful woman holding a plant on which a tiny butterfly is resting. The butterfly and also the lady's jewellery (head and necklace) are made using inlayed rose gold over the characteristic dark niello enamel. As seen at the pictures, bezel shows some wear to the Niello vegetal motif enamel (from three to eight hours)
 Both, back cover and dust cover are numbered inside. Dust cover is also hallmarked, main cover is also signed NIEL.
 
MOVEMENT: original mechanical with manual winding movement, lever escapement, in good running order.

MEASURES: 47mm diameter, not including its winding crown or  its hanging ring 
 
ESTIMATED AGE: circa 1900, pure ART NOUVEAU design.
